Trident training centre Nottingham has been going from strength to strength, we have been successfully delivering First aid at work, Emergency First Aid at work, personal licence (APLH), Level 2 food safety, Level 2 Health and Safety and SIA linked qualifications.

We made the decision to deliver Personal licence, First aid at work and food safety due to our sister company Trident security solutions strong connections to the hospitality industry in Nottingham.

The partnership with Trident Security Solutions became after we identified after covid, the huge gap that was left in the security and night time economy industry, with the partnership we identified that by providing SIA linked qualifications we were able to help and support people in the

industry not only from our own company but also people who worked for other security companies in Nottingham.

We delivered the Level 2 working as a door supervisor top-up course, ACT terror awareness training and emergency first aid and offered additional support in re-applying for SIA licences.

The other benefit we identified was we was able to deliver the full level 2 door supervisor course, in doing so not only did learners get to learn with us at our centre with trainers who have over 10 years in the industry and still currently working in the industry, we could also pass them to Trident Security Solutions where they were able to have interviews, support with filling in application forms and support in obtaining their SIA license.

The next steps for us is to build partnerships with local colleges and the DWP to obtain funding for courses, this will allow us to help support people in Nottingham who are looking to get back into work, we will offer support in CV writing, interview techniques and completing application forms, we will add on additional qualifications, Level 1 English Functional skills, Level 2 Health and Safety and Level 2 Customer service as well as their Level 2 working as a door supervisor in the private security industry and also provide funding for their SIA license.

All in all, it’s been a very productive and successful 6 months with excellent feedback from learners and also achieving a 99% pass rate which is down to the hard work and professionalism of our tutors.

We are looking forward to the next 6 months ahead.
